Významu rodiny v oblasti péče a mezigenerační solidarity je věnována značná pozornost, ale rodinné vztahy seniorů v institucích jsou opomíjené. Cílem této je popsat význam rodinných vztahů seniorů žijících v domově seniorů. Teoretická část je zaměřena na problematiku stáří, rodiny, rodinných vztahů a nástupu seniora do domova seniorů. Empirická část je zpracována kvantitativním výzkumným šetřením a zabývá se zahájením služby, adaptací seniora v domově seniorů, kontakty s rodinou, zapojením rodiny a způsoby pomoci a podpory rodiny. Práce obsahuje prezentaci dat, interpretaci a shrnutí výsledků.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis deals with the importance of family relationships for seniors in a retirement home. Considerable attention is paid to the importance of the family in the area of care and intergenerational solidarity, but the family relationships of older people in institutions are neglected. The aim of this is to describe the importance of family relationships of seniors living in a retirement home. The theoretical part is focused on the issue of old age, family, family relationships and seniors' entry into the retirement home. The empirical part is processed by quantitative research and deals with the initiation of service, adaptation of the elderly in the retirement home, contacts with the family, family involvement and ways of helping and supporting the family. The thesis contains a presentation of data, interpretation and summary of results.
