Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem metafor v románu "Feuchtgebiete" od německé autorky Charlotty Roche, jehož překlad provedl český překladatel Jiří Strážnický. V teoretické části je krátce charakterizována translatologie a překladatelský proces, za kterým následuje samotná definice metafory, její klasifikace a problémy, které u překladu metafor vznikají. V praktické části je nastíněna biografie autorky a samotný děj románu. Hlavní část pak tvoří analýza a komentář vybraných úryvků z knihy "Feuchtgebiete", které jsou srovnány s českým překladem.This bachelor theses focuses on the translation of metaphors in the novel Wetlands by the German author Charlotte Roche, which was translated by Jiří Strážnický. The theoretical part briefly characterizes the translation studies and the translation process, followed by the very definition of the metaphor, its classification and the problems that arise in the translation of metaphors. The practical part outlines the biography of the author and the story of the novel itself. The main part is the analysis and comment of selected extracts from the novel Wetlands, which are compared with the Czech translation.
