Tato práce se zabývá problematikou eko-terorismu v současném světě. Cílem práce je na základě analýzy dostupných zdrojů týkajících se nejen samotného eko-terorismu, ale i organizací Earth First!, Earth Liberation Front a Animal Liberation Front, vysvětlit pojem eko-terorismus a zhodnotit význam a závažnost této hrozby ve světě 21. století. První kapitola je zaměřena na definici a srovnání pojmů terorismus a eko-terorismus a tvoří tak teoretický základ práce. Druhá kapitola se zabývá ideologickými zdroji eko-terorismu a také příčinami a motivací jednání jeho aktérů. Třetí kapitola je tvořena případovými studiemi vybraných organizací a jejich následnou komparací a poslední kapitola je věnována pojetí eko-terorismu v současném světě.This thesis deals with the issue of eco-terrorism in the contemporary world. The aim of the thesis is to analyse available sources of information about eco-terrorism and selected organizations - Earth First!, Earth Liberation Front and Animal Liberation Front and then explain the term eco-terrorism and assess the threat of eco-terrorism in the world of 21st century. The first chapter is focused on definition and comparison of terms terrorism and eco-terrorism and creates the theoretical base of the thesis. The second chapter deals with ideological resources of eco-terrorism and also with causes and motivation of behaviour of eco-terrorists. The third chapter is composed of case studies of selected organizations, which are compared afterwards. The last chapter is devoted to conception of eco-terrorism in the contemporary world.
