Cílem této bakalářské práce je překlad povídky ze sbírky Piccoli equivoci senza importanza od Antonia Tabucchiho. První kapitola slouží jako stručný úvod do teorie překladu, dále je teoretická část rozšířena o stručný životopis autora, popis a charakteristiku sbírky a povídky. Následující kapitola obsahuje samotný překlad povídky I treni che vanno a Madras, který je okomentován ve čtvrté kapitole. Komentář k překladu je rozdělen do lexikální a morfosyntaktické roviny, vše je doplněno o kulturní kontext.The aim of this Thesis consists in the translation of the short story from short story collection Piccoli equivoci senza importanza by Antonio Tabucchi. The first chapter deals with the translation theory and it's followed by short biography of the author in the second chapter. The next chapter contains the translation of the short story called I treni che vanno a Madras that is commented in the fourth chapter. The commentary is structured according to the different linguistic levels and includes also the cultural context.
