Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o tradici přistěhovalectví ze západoindických ostrovů ve Velké Británii. Je zaměřena na vlny západoindické imigrace a jejich zasazení do historického kontextu. Hlavní část této práce se zabývá analýzou básní západoindických přistěhovalců, jejíž cílem je zjistit, jak se liší zkušenosti první a druhé generace přistěhovalců a jakým způsobem jsou tyto zkušenosti reflektovány v jednotlivých básních.This bachelor thesis deals with the tradition of West Indian immigration to Great Britain. The thesis is focused on the individual waves of West Indian immigration. It aims to place these waves into historical the historical context and examine the hardships that the West Indian immigrants encountered upon their arrival to Britain. The main body of the thesis is concerned with the analysis of the individual poems of the West Indian authors with primary aim of exploring the differences between the first and second generation of West Indian immigrants and how these differences are reflected in their poetry.
