Tato diplomová práce je zaměřená na problematiku body image osob se získaným tělesným postižením. Teoretická část vymezuje pojem body image, popisuje aspekty, které tento jev ovlivňují. V dalších kapitolách teoretické části popisuji zkoumanou populaci a její hlavní charakteristiky. Závěrečná kapitola teoretické části se věnuje dosavadním poznatkům o body image osob s tělesným postižením.Praktická část diplomové práce je věnována výzkumu body image osob se získaným tělesným postižením. Pro výzkum byla zvolena kvalitativní metodologie. Výzkumný vzorek tvoří šest osob se získaným tělesným postižením, které s postižením žijí již několik let. Výzkumná data byla sbírána polostrukturovanými rozhovory a vyhodnocená dle pravidel zakotvené teorie. Výzkumem bylo potvrzeno, že po získání tělesného postižení se vytváří nová tělesná identita, která se v průběhu adaptačního procesu postupně mění v závislosti na různých faktorech. V konečné fázi smíření, se vztah k vlastní tělesnosti pohybuje v rozsahu nespokojenost indiferentnost, s občasnými relapsy.This diploma thesis is focused on issue of body image of the people with acquired physical disability. The theoretical part defines the concept of body image and describes aspects which affect this phenomenon. In other chapters of the theoretical part I describe study population and its main characteristic. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to current knowledge about body image of the people with physical disability. The practical part of the diploma thesis is focused on the research of body image of the people with acquired physical disability. The qualitative methodology was chosen for the research. The research sample is formed by six people with acquired physical disability who have lived with their disability for several years. Research data were collected by semi-structured interviews and evaluated according to the rules of grounded theory. The research confirmed that after acquirement of physical disability new physical identity is created and the new identity is changed gradually during the adaptation process depending on various factors. In the final stage of reconciliation the relation to their physicality ranges dissatisfaction indifference with occasional relapses.
