Primárním cílem práce je analyzovat film Oněgin od anglické režisérky Marthy Fiennesové a porovnat ho s jeho literární předlohou, románem Evžen Oněgin od ruského romantického spisovatele A. S. Puškina. V teoretické části se tato práce zabývá také vztahem filmu k literatuře a románu. Kapitola jazyk ve filmu se zaobírá převedením literárního jazyka do jazyka filmu. V praktické části práce využívá transtextuálního přístupu, tzn. rozlišovat a porovnávat konkrétní rozdíly mezi knihou a filmem. Sekundárně se pak zaměříme na motivace tvůrců ke zfilmování tohoto klasického literárního díla.. -- Abstrakt: The theme of the thesis is the analysis adaptation for screen of classic literary works. The primary objective of this work is to analyze the film Onegin from the English director Martha Fiennes and compare it with its literary original, novel Eugene Onegin from the Russian romantic writer A. S. Pushkin. The theoretical part of this work deals with the relation of film to literature and novels. Chapter language in the movie deals with the transfer of the literary language into the movie. The practical part of thesis uses transtext access, ie. distinguish and compare the specific differences between book and the movie. Secondary, focus on the motivation of the creators of the film adaptation of this classic literary works.
