Historické opodstatnění polohy tohot region a jeho kulturního založení. Důležitou částí je interpretace odpovědí z dotazníků Katalánců žijících v departementu Pyrénées-Orientales. Nejčastěji jde o problematiku vztahu s Katalánskem španělským, jejich rozdíly a vztahy, zda jsou obyvatelé Francouzského Katalánska hrdí na svůj původ a jaké jsou pilíře jejich kultury. Práce tedy přináší obecné informace o tomto regionu a poté vlastní názory jeho obyvatel a tudíž velmi objektivní názory a informace o regionu.. -- Abstrakt: This dissertation deals with Northern Catalonia which is situated it the south of France but historically it´s a Catalan area which was attached to France by the Treaty of the Pyrenees. The object of the dissertation is the general presentation of this region and familiarize the readers with a location and a composition of this region, the origin and the culture. The dissertation has four chapters. The first deals with general information about this country, the second explains us the history of the Catalonia but mainly of the Northern Catalonia. By the thirdchapter the practical part begins. The third chaptre introduces the practical part of the dissertation, which proposes us a graphical representation of the results from questionnaires. These questionnaires were filled by residents of the French Catalonia. The purpose of these questionnaires was a survey of residents´s opinions about a Catalan problem in France. They had a opportunity to put theirs own opinions about the Catalan culture or the relation between both of Catalonias. The analysis of the answers proposes us the opportunity to create our own perspective on French Catalonia. The last chapter deals about feast days and traditions in the Northern Catalonia. They were chosen by the respondents in the questionnaire. This chapter completes the Catalan culture in the French Catalonia.
