Bakalářská práce se zabývá individuální kvalitou života u lidí s věkem podmíněnou makulární degenerací (VPMD). VPMD je nejčastější příčinou vedoucí k zhoršení a někdy vede až k úplné ztrátě zraku u lidí nad 50 let. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část je částí teoretickou, která se zabývá pojmem ?kvalita života? a onemocněním VPMD. Druhá část je částí výzkumnou. Zde je popsán kvantitativní výzkum za pomoci dotazníku světové zdravotnické organizace WHOQOL-BREEF. Cílem výzkumu je zhodnotit kvalitu života u lidí s onemocněním VPMD. Zkoumanou skupinu tvoří 51 lidí s onemocněním VPMD, kontrolní skupinu tvoří 51 lidí z běžné populace. Výsledky práce ukazují, že lidé s onemocněním VPMD mají horší vnímání svého zdravotního stavu a celkové kvality života.This bachelor?s thesis focuses on the quality of life of the people with age-related macular degeneration (AMD). AMD is the most common cause of the vision deterioration, which in some cases leads to a total loss of vision in population above 50 years of age. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one represents a theoretical part, which deals with the term ?quality of life? and the AMD disease. The second one is the research part. It describes a quantitative research based on the world health organization?s WHOQOL-BREEF questionnaire. The aim of the survey is to value the quality of life of the AMD-affected people. The surveyed group consists of 51 persons with AMD disease and a control group of 51 persons from regular population. The results of the thesis show that the people with ADM have worse perception of their health status and overall quality of life.
