Diplomová práce se zabývá samostatnou dramatickou tvorbou Ladislava Smoljaka. Tři ze čtyř analyzovaných her zatím nebyly nikde publikovány a v současné době nejsou ani inscenovány, práce proto nejprve představí okolnosti jejich vzniku, fabuli i ohlas kritiků. Poté se zaměří na hlavní téma a cíl, kterým je pojmenování specifických rysů Smoljakovy samostatné dramatické tvorby. Hlavní metodou diplomové práce je analýza her z hlediska námětů, kompozice, jazyka, postav, komiky a práce s fakty. Práce využívá také komparace, a to nejen her navzájem, ale i s tvorbou Divadla Járy Cimrmana, se kterou je autor nejvíce spjat. Vzhledem k tomu, že Ladislav Smoljak byl nejen autorem, ale i režisérem svých her, v menší míře je přihlédnuto i k inscenacím.The diploma thesis is focused on Ladislav Smoljak's individual dramatic work. Three of four analysed plays haven't been published yet and they are also not produced on stage at this time, and so the work presents the circumstances of origin of plays, story and reception. The diploma is then focused on the description of specific attributes of Smoljak's individual dramatic work, which is the main theme and intention. The main method of diploma thesis is the analysis of plays from the point of view of topics, the language, characters, the comic and the work with facts. In the diploma is also used the comparation of plays to each other but also comparation to the production of The Jára Cimrman's Theatre, which the author is mostly noted for. Given the fact, that Ladislav Smoljak was not only the author but also the director of his own plays, the diploma also partly take account of the stage productions of plays.
