Cílem této práce je předložit faktory, které ovlivňují volební úspěšnost této strany na různých geografických úrovních. Nejprve je analyzována neúspěšnost strany v primárních volbách na národní úrovni a následně je analyzovaná volební podpora na úrovni regionů a volebních obvodů ve volbách primárních, evropských a volbách do místních zastupitelstev. Na prvním místě je na všech geografických úrovních zkoumán vztah mezi imigrací a volbou zkoumané extrémně pravicové strany. Práce dokáže platnost hypotézy, že míra imigrace nemá rozhodující vliv na volební výsledek BNP. Faktory ovlivňující volební výsledek BNP na různých geografických úrovních mají podobu dostatečných podmínek, které samy o sobě jsou nedostatečné k vysvětlení volebního výsledku, vysvětlení tak na různých úrovních má multifaktoriální podobu a na úrovni národní a lokální se může lišit.This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the electoral support of the British National party. The aim of this work is to introduce factors influencing/which influence electoral support of this party at different geographical levels. First, the analysis of the electoral failure in the general elections is presented. Subsequently, an analysis of the electoral support of the BNP at the regional level and/as well as in the constituencies in the general, European and local elections is submitted. First, at all geographical levels the correlation between the rate of the immigration and the vote for the BNP is analyzed. Then, an alternative hypothesis is being looked for by means of the knowledge of theories explaining the electoral success or failure of extreme right parties. The thesis verificates hypothesis which says/states that the rate of immigration has not a decisive influence on the election result of BNP. The factors influencing the electoral support for the BNP at different geographical levels take the form of sufficient conditions which in themselves are insufficient to explain the election result. The explanation at different geographical levels is multivariable and may be different at different levels.
