Cílem práce je zjistit rozsah znalostí sester v péči o perkutánní endoskopickou gastrostomii a rozdíly mezi jejich teoretickými znalostmi a praktickým provedením. Perkutánní endoskopická gastrostomie je využívána u nemocných s předpokladem nutnosti dlouhodobé enterální výživy z důvodů neschopnosti perorálního příjmu potravy. V práci jsou vymezeny základní pojmy a konkrétní ošetřovatelské postupy , důležité pro správnou funkci sondy. Praktická část formou kvantitativního dotazníku mapuje konkrétní znalosti sester a jejich využití v praxi. Výsledky šetření budou použity jako podklady při tvorbě standardu pro enterální výživu.The aim of the thesis is to find out the level of nurses? knowledge in the care of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and the difference between the theoretical knowledge and its practical application. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is applied in the patients with presumable need for long-term enteral nutrition resulting from inability of per oral food intake. The thesis defines the key concepts and particular nursing procedures necessary for proper functioning of the probe. The practical part of the thesis maps the nurses? individual knowledge and its use in practice with the use of quantitative questionnaire. The research results will be used as the basis for the creation of the enteral nutrition standard.
