Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem mediálních obrazů teroristických útoků 11. září 2001 na zobrazení newyorské architektury v americké kinematografii produkované po roce 2001. S využitím dvou základních teoretických konceptů je architektura systematicky analyzována na několika předem vymezených kinematografických proudech, v nichž je významným sémantickým prvkem. Výstupem práce je výčet specifických filmových prostředků, technik a postupů, jimiž autoři budují topos New York City.This Master's thesis deals with the influence of media images of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001 on the portrayal of New York City's architecture in American cinema produced after 2001. With the use of two elementary theoretical concepts, architecture is systematically analyzed here through a number of previously selected cinematographic trends where architecture plays significant semantic role. The output of this thesis is the list of specific filmmaking devices, techniques and methods filmmakers use to create the topos of New York City.
