Bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem páté kapitoly s názvem ??Základní jednotky?, I: binární rysy? z původní anglické knihy o fonologii Rogera Lasse nazvané Phonology. Překlad samotný je doplněn komentářem a vysvětlivkami k problematickým termínům. Součástí práce je i kapitola věnující se teorii překladu odborného textu a kapitola zabývající se pojetím distinktivních rysů ve vybrané české odborné literatuře.The thesis concerns with a translation of the fifth chapter ??Ultimate constituents?, I: binary features? from the Phonology by Roger Lass. The translation is complemented with a commentary explaining the problematic terms. There is also a chapter concerning the translation of scientific text and a chapter dealing with the presentation of distinctive features in selected Czech literature.
