Cílem této práce je analýza a interpretace dochovaných dopisů, které si v letech 1351 ? 1365 vyměnil král český a císař římský Karel IV. a básník a humanista Francesco Petrarca. Těžištěm práce se pak stává hlavní téma dopisů ? Petrarkovy výzvy k záchraně a obnově jednoty italských území. Hlavní snahou autorky byla analýza dopisů nezávisle na převládající snaze ostatních badatelů, zabývajících se tímto tématem, řadit tuto korespondenci k jednomu z důkazů protohumanismu v Čechách. Práce je rozdělena do pěti hlavních částí, které popisují jednotlivé etapy korespondence. Jak se mění pojímání hlavního tématu především u Petrarky a jakým způsobem s císařem komunikuje.The aim of this work is the analysis and interpretation of the extant letters, which in the years 1351 - 1365 changed the Czech king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. and poet and humanist Francesco Petrarch. The focus of the work then becomes the main theme of the letters ? Petrarch´s challenges to rescue and restore the unity of the Italian territory. The main effort of the author's analysis of the letters was the independence of the prevailing view of other research scientists on this topic, to sort this correspondence to one of evidences of early humanism in Bohemia. The thesis is divided into five main sections that describe the various stages of correspondence. How changes the Petrarch´s concept of the main theme and how he communicates with the Emperor.
