Jedním z nejvýznamnějších období ženina života je rozhodnutí stát se matkou. Zajímalo nás, jak se líši prožívání těhotenství prvorodičkou do 29 let a tzv.starší prvorodičkou, tedy ženou starší 30 let. Na základě analýzy dat z dotatníků, které jsme náhodně rozdali rodičkám, jsme zjistili, že ženy starší prvorodičky od 30 do 35 let více prožívají obavy spojené s těhotenstvím a častěji dodržují zdravou životosprávu než ženy prvorodičky do 29 let. Výzkum nám ale neprokázal, že by existovala přímá souvislost mezi věkem prvorodičky a zvýšenou návštěvností odborného lékaře než doporučují lékařské standardy, zvýšené využívaní nadstandardní diagnostiky a zvýšený výskyt komplikací těhotenství. Přesto je nutné, aby žena dostala kompletní informace o průběhu těhotenství a jejím aktuálním stavu, informace o možnostech ovlivnění průběhu těhotenství a prevenci některých komplikací. Informace by měly být podávány srozumitelně, aktuálně, přiměřeně a tak, aby ženu maximálně uklidnily.One of the most important moments in a woman?s life is her decision to become a mother. We were interested in the difference in experiencing her pregnancy by a first-time mother up to 29 years of her age and the so-called older first-time mother ? a woman older than 30 years of her age. Based on the analysis of data acquired from questionnaires, which we handed out randomly to women in labour, we found out that women ? the older first-time mothers ? between 30 and 35 years of their age experience the concerns related to their pregnancy more intensely and more often respect healthy lifestyle than women ? the first-time mothers up to 29 years of their age. However, the research proved no direct connection between a first-time mother?s age and an increased number of visits to a specialised physician than recommended by medical standards, increased use of the above-standard diagnostics and increased occurrence of complications during the pregnancy. In spite of that, it is necessary that a woman receives complete information on the course of her pregnancy and her current state, information on options how to influence the course of her pregnancy and prevention of some complications. The information should be comprehensive, up-to-date and adequate and it should be communicated so that it calms the woman down as much as possible.
