Cílem této práce je seznámení čtenáře se základními typy reprezentací polynomických splajnů a jejich použití v úloze interpolace. V první stěžejní kapitole se věnujeme po částech polynomické reprezentaci splajnů řádu jedna až tři, tj. lineárním, kvadratickým a kubickým splajnům. Další kapitola je zaměřena na bázovou reprezentaci. Teorie je doplněna grafy, příklady a řešením v matematickém programu MATLAB. K práci je přiloženo CD s naprogramovanými m-fily, které pokrývají chybějící příkazy tohoto softwaru.The aim of this thesis is an introduction of the basic types of representations of polynomial splines and their possible use in the task of interpolation to the readers. In the first main chapter we attend to piecewise polynomial representation of splines of order one to three, i.e. linear, quadratic and cubic spline functions. Next chapter focuses on the base representation. The theory is enriched with charts, examples and solutions in the mathematical software MATLAB. Because this software doesn't cover all the necessary statements, we have programmed some of the most important ones. Programmed m-files can be found on the enclosed CD.
