Bakalářská práce se zabývá institucí veřejného ochránce práv, která byla do právního řádu České republiky zakotvena zákonem č. 349/1999 Sb., o veřejném ochránci práv, ve znění pozdějších předpisů. Činnost JUDr. Otakara Motejla jako veřejného ochránce práv je hlavním tématem předkládané práce spolu s daným zákonem. Práce se dále věnuje vzniku instituce a také postavení ombudsmana v rámci státní moci.The topic of this bachelor thesis is the Institution of the Ombudsman, which was laid down into the body of laws of the Czech Republic by the Act number 349/1999 Sb., about the Ombudsman, subsequently amended. The activity of JUDr. Otakar Motejl as the Ombudsman is the main theme of this thesis together with the given Act. Further, the thesis deals with the formation of the Institution of the Ombudsman as well as his status within the frame of the state authority.
