Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je sepsání případových studií, neboli kasuistik. V teoretické části se věnuji mentální retardaci, vymezení, příčinám vzniku, klasifikaci a charakteristikám jednotlivých stupňů. Dále pojmu Downův syndrom, jeho historickému pozadí, příčinám vzniku, jednotlivým formám, vývoji a psychickým zvláštnostem dětí s tímto syndromem. Také je zde zmínka o rodině dítěte, prenatální diagnostice a využívaných terapiích v procesu péče o tyto děti. Praktická část je výsledkem studia dokumentace dětí a je sepsána do tří kasuistik.The main objective of this thesis is to write case studies or casuistry. In the theoretical part I describe mental retardation, definition, causes the creation, classification and characteristics of each levels. Furthermore, the term Down's syndrome, its historical background, causes of, various forms and psychological development of children with this specific syndrome. There is also mention of the child's family, prenatal diagnosis and therapies used in the process of care for these children. The practical part is result of the study documentation of children and these are made up into three casuistry.
