Diplomová práce je zaměřena na vazbu jako zajišťujícího prostředku používaného pro dosažení účelu trestního řízení proti obviněnému. Vedle obecného vymezení pojmu, účelu vazby a ústavních základů, je největší část práce věnována materiálnímu a formálnímu vazebnímu právu, tedy důvodům pro vzetí obviněného do vazby, orgánům rozhodujícím o vazbě a trvání vazby. V souvislosti s fakultativní povahou vazby se dále pojednává o opatřeních nahrazujících vazbu. Konec diplomové práce je věnován výkonu vazby.My dissertation is focuced on arrest as a providing means used to achieve objective of criminal proceedings trial against the accused. Besides common defining the term, purpose of the arrest and the constitutionals basis, the biggest part of my work is dedicated to the material and formal custody law, so the reasons for taking the accused to the arrest, the members deciding the arrest for the accussed and the duratition of the arrest. In connection with the optional nature of the arrest there is also a section about actions substituting the arrest. The end of my dissertation is focuced on execution of custody
