Diplomová práce se zabývá systémem vzdělávání všeobecných sester v České republice a v Rakousku. Teoretická část je zaměřena na ošetřovatelství obecně, na osobnost a roli všeobecné sestry v České republice. Dále na historii vzdělávání všeobecných sester, současný systém a perspektivy vzdělávání všeobecných sester v České republice. Teoretická část pokračuje historií diplomovaných sester v Rakousku a současným systémem vzdělávání diplomovaných sester v Rakousku. Perspektivy vzdělávání diplomovaných sester v Rakousku teoretickou část diplomové práce ukončují. Empirická část naší práce byla zpracována formou kvalitativního výzkumu. Ke sběru dat jsme použili dotazník s otevřenými otázkami. Na základě získaných dat jsme poté vytvořili výpovědi respondentek a textovou interpretaci výsledků. Výzkumné šetření proběhlo v měsících prosinci 2010, lednu a únoru 2011 v České republice a v Rakousku, ve městech Vídeň a Zlín. Výzkumný vzorek se skládal z 12 osob. Na vzdělávání všeobecných sester je potřeba s ohledem na přítomnost i budoucnost klást důraz. Významnou roli zde hraje demografické stárnutí populace.The diploma paper deals with the system of further education of trained general nurses in the Czech republic and Austria. The theoretical part is focused on the nursing in general, the personality as well as the role of general nurses in the Czech republic, and further, on the history of general nurses education, the existing system as well as education perspectives of general nurses in the Czech republic. In the following, the theoretical part describes the history of trained nurses in Austria and their system of education at present. The part has been concluded with the perspectives of trained nurses education in Austria. For the empirical part of diploma paper the qualitative research has been used. The questionnaire with open questions has been used to gather the data. On basis of gained data the respondents´ notices as well as textual interpretation of results have been created. The examination took place in December 2010, January and February 2011 in the Czech republic and Austria, in the cities of Zlin and Vienna. The experimental job has been presented by 12 persons. There is a great need to place emphasis on the education of general nurses with regard to presence as well as future. The influence of demographic aging of population seems to be a significant topic.
