Cílem předkládané práce je analyzovat somatické charakteristiky hráčů basketbalu v kategorii U18 a zjistit souvislost těchto somatických charakteristik a jednotlivých herních postů. Výzkumný soubor tvoří hráči tří extraligových celků basketbalu. Potřebná data byla získávána měřením, které probíhalo v soutěžním období od září 2009. Měřili jsme tělesné parametry nezbytné k výpočtům tělesného složení, somatotypu, proporcionálních a délkových indexů. Výsledky byly zpracovány programy Ms Excel a Statistika. Statisticky významné rozdíly mezi herními posty byly zjištěny u parametrů tělesné výšky a hmotnosti.The main aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse somatic characteristics of basketball players in category U18 and find out relation between these somatic characteristics and different game roles. Participants of the research are players of 3 teams of the highest league. Datas were obtained by measurment, which took place in competition period from September 2009. We measured body parametres essential for calculation of body composition, somatotype, proportional and lenght indexes. The results were compiled by Ms Excel and Statistika programmes. Statistic significant differences were found out at body height and body weight.
