Diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou přítomného obyvatelstva ve městě a jeho diferenciace v rámci města. Konkrétně studuje faktické obyvatelstvo ve městě Olomouc. V rámci práce byla vytvořena metodika pro studium faktického obyvatelstva, která zohledňuje několik dílčích skupin faktického obyvatelstva, a to trvale bydlící obyvatele, dojíždějící do zaměstnání, dojíždějící do škol, rovněž osoby dočasně přítomné v obci, mezi které náleží turisté a osoby dojíždějící za službami osoby žijící ve městě bez přihlášení k trvalému pobytu v obci. Byl rovněž vytvořen odhad skutečného obyvatelstva města Olomouc a třech vybraných lokalit města, ve kterém byly během terénního šetření statistické údaje o obyvatelstvu zpřesňovány.This thesis deals with the actual population in the city and its differentiation in the city. Specifically, the actual population in the city of Olomouc is studying. The methodology for the studying of actual population is created, which deals with the sub-groups of the factual population. These are: permanent residents, commuters to job, commuters to school, persons temporarily present in the city, and people living in the city without signing a permanent residence in the city. There was also estimated the actual population of the city of Olomouc and of the three selected localities of the city, where were during the field survey statistics on the population improved
