Nemoci horních cest dýchacích patří mezi velmi častá onemocnění. Akutní nebo i chronická onemocnění horních cest dýchacích mohou nepříznivě ovlivňovat kvalitu života nemocného. U dětí mohou způsobovat nesprávné rozvíjení hrudníku, zafixování špatného stereotypu dýchání, a tím další rozvoj komplikací, jako je vadné držení těla, ochabnutí dýchacích svalů nebo nesprávná funkce orofaciální oblasti. Péče o pacienta s respiračním onemocněním musí být ucelená a komplexní. Podílet se musí lékař, psycholog, fyzioterapeut a jiní oborníci. V této bakalářské práci je uveden souhrn technik a metod, které lze využít k ovlivnění dýchání (hygiena horních cest dýchacích, airway clearance techniques, instrumentální techniky respirační fyzioterapie, dechová gymnastika, polohová drenáž, inhalační léčba, korekční techniky, péče o orofaciální oblast, cvičení na neurofyziologickém základě, fyzikální terapie). Součástí práce je také přehled nefyzioterapeutických technik (akupunktura, akupresura, jóga, hra na hudební nástroj), které jsou nedílnou součástí péče o pacienta.Diseases of the upper airways belong to very common diseases. Acute and chronic diseases of the upper airways could affect adversely the patient?s quality of life. When it comes to children, the diseases can cause incorrect chest development, fixation of the wrong breathing stereotype and thus other development of complications such as poor posture, slackening of respiratory muscles or malfunction of an orofacial area. Treatment of a patient with a respiratory disease has to be integrated and complex. A doctor, a psychologist, a physiotherapist and other specialists have to participate in taking care of the patient. In this bachelor thesis there is a summary of techniques and methods which can be used to affect breathing (hygiene of the upper airways, airway clearance techniques, instrumental techniques of respiratory physiotherapy, breathing gymnastics, positional drain, inhalational treatment, correction techniques, tending of the orofacial area, exercises on the neurophysiological basis and physical therapy). Overview of other than physiotherapeutic techniques (acupuncture, acupressure, yoga and playing a musical instrument) which are part and parcel of the patient?s care, is also included in the thesis.
