Práce se zabývá prozaickým dílem Miloše Martena v kontextu literatury fin-de-siecle. První část je věnována analýze a interpretaci autorovy beletristické tvorby. Sledován je vývoj Martenovy poetiky, autorského stylu a ideové koncepce. Autorovy texty jsou uvedeny do vztahu s fenomény dekadence, secese a psychickým naturalismem. V rámci Martenova kritického díla je pozornost věnována autorovým esejům. Cílem práce je vymezení souvislostí mezi Martenovou beletristickou a kritickou tvorbou s přihlédnutím k dobovým žánrovým a druhovým synkretizačním tendencím.The thesis focuses on the prosaic works of Miloš Marten in the context of fin-de-siecle literature. In the first chapters autor's fictional literature is analysed and interpretated. The development of Marten's poetics, style and conception of his ideas are under discussion. Author's works are related to the decadence, art nouveau, and psychical naturalism. In the frame of Marten's non-fictional works his essay are observed. The goal of the thesis is to describe the relations between Marten's fictional and non-fictional works with regard to contemporary genre and typological tendencies toward syncretism.
