Tato práce se zabývá rozdílem mezi knihou Karakter, napsanou Ferdinandem Bordewijkem a filmem, který podle ní natočil režisér Mike van Diem. Cílem práce bylo vyzvednout hlavní rozdíly mezi postavami a dějovými linkami a popsat důvody, proč k těmto rozdílům autoři filmu přistoupili.The thesis focuses on the differences between the boek Karakter by Ferdinand Bordewijk and the film, which was created on the basis of the book by the director Mike van Diem. The goal of the thesis was to focus on the differences of characters and the plot and to describe the reasons, why the film-makers made such changes.
