Cílem teoretické části práce je představit psychologii a astrologii jako obory lidské činnosti, které deklarují své porozumění individuálnímu lidskému životu a také schopnost pomoci člověku vyrovnávat se s nároky života. Samostatná pojednání jsou věnována vymezení psychologie a astrologie, jejich pojetí lidské bytosti a poznávání člověka, historii obou těchto oborů i jejich uplatnění v pomoci člověku. Empirická část práce prostřednictvím kvalitativní studie porovnává porozumění člověku při jednorázovém poradenském setkání v astrologickém resp. psychologickém kontextu.The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to introduce psychology and astrology as fields of human activity, which declare their understanding an individual human life and also the ability to help a person to cope with the demands of his life. Individual attention is devoted to the definition of psychology and astrology, to their approach to a human being and getting to know him, to the history of both these branches and their application in helping a person. The empirical part of the thesis compares in a qualitative study understanding a human being in a single appointment within the astrological and psychological context.
