Architektura Chebu v letech 1900 - 1945 předkládá studii urbanistického a stavebního vývoje města v daném období. Na základě terénního a archivního průzkumu zkoumá místní stavební produkci , její specifika a vztah k dobovému dění, architektonickým vzorům a moderním proudům. Nejprve se zabývá urbanistickým rozvojem obce a následně předkládá jednotlivé stavby reprezentující určité typy a styly. Chebská architektura 1. poloviny 20. století vzniká v německojazyčném prostředí a se vztahem k místní tradici a národní identitě. Proto je architekturou specifickou, ve většině případů do sebe uzavřenou, s nevelkou potřebou reflexe nejmodernějších architektonických proudů.Dissertation The Architecture in Cheb 1900 - 1945 pursues the urbanistic and architectural examination around municipal territory at given period. The basis of understanding of architectural production in Cheb in the first half of 20th century was a field and archival research. In particular chapter step by step we are getting knowledge about the town history and urban and architectural development. The presented architectural development predicate about a mentality of local public and his approach, that for him wasn?t easy to take over the style newsflash and the most modern architecturale rules from the west europe. The architectural scene in Cheb features lot of national grounded buildings.
