Práce se zabývá charakteristikou vývoje osídlení v oblasti Moravskotřebovska od pravěku přes slovanskou a vrcholně středověkou německou kolonizaci oblasti. Vymezuje a blíže popisuje vznik, vývoj a územní rozsah německého jazykového ostrova, rozkládajícího se na pomezí Čech a Moravy, v pozdější době zvaného Hřebečsko (Schönhengstgau). Následně práce popisuje odsun německého obyvatelstva z této oblasti po 2. světové válce a postupné znovuosídlování pohraničí českým obyvatelstvem z vnitrozemí. V závěrečné části práce je popsán současný stav a tendence v osídlení oblasti a zvláště města Moravská Třebová.This work characterizes the development of settlements in the area Moravskotřebovsko from prehistoric times through Slavs and the late medieval German colonization of the area. Defines and describes the further creation, development and territorial scope of the German language island unfolding on the border of Bohemia and Moravia, in later times called Hřebečsko (Schönhengstgau). Then describes the evacuation of the German population of the area after 2 World War II and the gradual resettlement of population from the Czech border inland. The final part describes the current status and trends in the settlement area and especially city Moravská Třebová.
