Tato práce pojednává o původních obyvatelích Severní Ameriky od nejstarších kultur až po současnost. Velká pozornost je věnována indiánským kmenům podle geografického výskytu. Všímá si také jejich způsobu života a společenského zřízení, osídlování Ameriky Evropany a dopadu na původní obyvatele. Jsou popsány i konflikty a přesuny do rezervací. Závěrečná část je věnována současné situaci původních obyvatel.This thesis is concerned with the Native inhabitants of the North America since the oldest cultures up to the present. Substantial attention is paid to individual indian tribes according to their geographical distribution. It brings to notice the Indian lifestyle and society, the settlement of North America and its influence on Native Americans. The conflicts and removals to reservations are described. The closing part addresses the present-day situation of Native Population.
