Bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá důvody, které vedly občany antických států (zejména Římské říše) k antisemitskému chování. Budu si všímat vzájemných kulturních styků mezi Římany a Židy, což obnáší oblast náboženské praxe, kulturních zvyklostí, pojetí sexuality u obou národů. Rovněž mě bude zajímat vzájemný vztah mezi křesťany a Židy v antice. Ve své práci jsem čerpal z děl klasických autorů, jakými byli Cicero, Petronius, Seneca, Tacitus. Na základě získaných informací formuluji obecné závěry o povaze antisemitismu v klasické antice.Bachelor thesis examines the reasons which led a citizen of the ancient states (mainly Roman Empire) to the anti-Semitic behavior. I will also look at cross-cultural relations between Romans and Jews, what involves the religious practices, cultural practices, the concept of sexuality of both nations. Also I will be interested in the relationship between Christians and Jews in antiquity. In my work I have drawn from the works of classic authors such as Cicero, Petronius, Seneca, Tacitus. Taking in account achieved information I will formulate general conclusions concerning the nature of anti-Semitism in the Classical Antiquity.
