Cílem diplomové práce je představit chov prasat v Bretani a zejména na farmě Brénature a aktivity spojené s tímto chovem. Nejprve práce popisuje situaci na světovém trhu s vepřovým masem a poté se věnuje systému chovu prasat v Bretani a zvláště na farmě Brénature. Hlavní činností této farmy je chov prasat pod značkou kvality "fermier label rouge", která jsou narozená pod širým nebem a vykrmována na slámě. Farma je členem několika uskupení v oblasti turismu, zvláště v síti "Bienvenue a la Ferme", v rámci které nabízí pobyt na farmě a další služby. Jedná ze zejména o dětské tábory na farmě, prohlídky farmy a přímý prodej čerstvého masa a dalších výrobků. Dále se práce zabývá aktivitami farmy v rámci programů Evropské unie. Farma Brénature se účastní programu Wilwater jehož cílem je sázení vrb, které slouží jako zdroj obnovitelné energie a také ke zkvalitnění vody.The objective of the thesis is to present the breeding of pigs in Brittany and especially on the farm Brénature and the activities connected to this breeding. First, the work describes the situation on the world market with pork meat and then it continues with the system of pig's breeding in Brittany and particularly on the farm Brénature. The main activity of the farm is the pig's breeding within the quality mark of "fermier label rouge" where the piglets are born in the open air and they are grown on the straw. The farm is a member of several groups concentrating on tourism, the principal one is "Bienvenue a la Ferme". Within this organization, the farm offers holidays for children on the farm, visits for general public and the direct sale of the fresh meat and other farm products. At the end, the thesis deals with the activities within the scope of the European Union. The farm participates in the program Wilwater which aim is to plant the willows that serve as a source of the renewable energy and for the purification of water.
