Předmětem předkládané bakalářské diplomové práce je seznámení s aztéckou civilizací v dobách rozkvětu i pádu. Práce uvádí souhrnné informace týkající se historie, mytologie, náboženství, tradic a umění. Je politováníhodné, že k zničení této vyspělé kultury stačilo dobyvatelům několik let. Práce je tedy rozdělena do několika částí. Nejprve se zabývá obecnou charakteristikou Aztéků, potom historií ? od počátků až po vpád Španělů. Následuje konec celé civilizace a seznámení s mytologií, která přímo souvisí s historií. Několik poznatků se týká aztécké společnosti, náboženství, nejznámějších tradic a pozůstatků aztéckého umění.The subject of the submitted bachelor thesis is the introdution to the Aztec civilization in the heyday and the downfall. I tried to give comprehensive information about the history, mythology, religion, traditions and arts. It is regrettable that the destruction of this advanced culture took a few years only because of the conquerors. This work is divided into several parts. First part deals with general characteritics of the Aztecs, then with history - from the origins to the Spanish invasion.The following is the end of civilization and familiarization with the mythology that is directly related to history. Several findings concern the Aztec society, religion and the most famous traditions and remains of the Aztec art.
