Diplomová práce se snaží zjistit, zda služba Mentor je potřebná a užitečná a jestli mentor přispívá k plnění alternativních trestů romských klientů Probační a mediační služby České republiky. Teoretická část popisuje sociálně patologické jevy a jejich prevenci, zejména pak prevenci kriminality. Dále mapuje službu Mentor, která vznikla pod záštitou Sdružení pro probaci a mediaci v justici. Výzkum je prováděn ve střediscích Probační a mediační služby České republiky, které byly a jsou zapojeny do služby Mentor. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že služba Mentor je ve vysoké míře úspěšná a účinná, ale za předpokladu správného výběru mentorů.This diploma thesis focuses on Mentor service. It tries to find out, whether this service is needed and useful and whether the mentor contributes to alternative punishment performance of romany clients of Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes socio-pathological phenomena and their prevention, especially criminal prevention. Further it focuses on Mentor service, which was founded under the auspices of Association of Probation and Mediation in Justice. The research was led in Probation and mediation centres in the Czech Republic, which have been involved in Mentor service. The results of the research proved Mentor service highly useful and efficient, on condition of well selected mentors.
