Práce je zaměřena na "aktivizaci seniorů jako formu rozvoje kvality života". Z aktivizačních možností se zaměřuje na vzdělávání a edukaci seniorů. Teoretická část práce se nejprve zabývá obecnými poznatky o stárnutí a stáří. Zmiňuje postavení seniorů ve společnosti, vymezuje pojmy geriatrie, gerontologie, gerontagogika, rozebírá procesy, klasifikaci a charakteristiku stáří a stárnutí, adaptaci ve stáří a potřeby seniorů. Dále tato část práce zmiňuje sociální služby jako možný nástroj pomoci seniorům při plnění potřeb. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je věnována vzdělávacím a edukačním aktivitám, které jsou pro seniory určeny. Popisuje celkový význam, oblasti a prostředky realizace vzdělávacích a edukačních aktivit. Cílem práce je zjistit názory pracovníků zařízení sociálních služeb na možnosti edukace seniorů, kteří sociální služby užívají. Teoretická část je proto ukončena popisem edukačních možností v sociálních službách, především v Denních centrech pro seniory a Domovech pro seniory. Praktická část je zaměřena na hlavní cílovou otázku "Jak pracovníci Denních center pro seniory a Domovů pro seniory nahlížejí na možnosti edukace seniorů- uživatelů těchto služeb" Předmětem dotazníkového šetření, které je v praktické části analyzováno, je zjištění odpovědi na tuto otázku. Vedlejším cílem praktické části práce je porovnání a zjištění rozdílů v názorech pracovníků na edukaci seniorů v těchto dvou typech zařízení. Popis cíle, metody a výběru vzorku, rozbor a popis šetření, které probíhalo v Olomouckém kraji tvoří obsah praktické části práce.This Bachelor's thesis focuses on "the activation of seniors as a form of development of the quality of life." From the various means of activation, this work concentrates on the education and the educational opportunities of seniors. The theoretical section targets general findings about aging and old age, mentions the position of seniors within the society, and specifies concepts such as geriatrics, gerontology, and geragogy. It analyzes actions, classification, and characteristics of old-age and aging processes, as well as old-age adaptation and senior population needs. This thesis additionally mentions social services as a possible tool of assistance to seniors in meeting their needs. The final chapter of the theoretical section is dedicated to educational activities targeted to seniors. It describes the overall meaning, areas, and resources in the realization of educational activities. The main aim of this thesis is to detect the opinions of workers in the social service facilities regarding the possibilities of education of those seniors utilizing social services. Therefore, the theoretical part ends with the description of educational opportunities within the social services, specifically in the day-care and nursing home centres. The practical section highlights one target question: how do day-care and nursing home workers view the possibilities of education for their clients-seniors" A questionnaire that is analyzed in the practical section helps to answer this question. An additional aim of this thesis" practical section is an observation and detection of differences in the opinions of workers regarding the education of seniors in the two specific senior facilities analyzed. The practical section of the thesis, which summarizes goals, methods, sample selection, and the specification of the survey, takes place within the Olomouc region.
