Bakalářská práce "Jazyk publicistického stylu z hlediska genderu" zahrnuje celý komplex problémů, z nichž jsem se ve své práci zaměřila na přechylování cizích ženských příjmení a užití generického maskulina v novinových titulcích. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda je přechylování cizích ženských příjmení ve zvolených denících standardizováno a ustáleno, v jaké míře se používá generické maskulinum a zda se nahrazuje alternativním, genderově korektním způsobem.As for the topic of the thesis, Gender and the Journalistic Style, there are a lot of various problems. I have chosen the derivation of feminine forms from masculine nouns, especially of foreign feminine surnames, and using generic masculine in newspaper headlines as well. I wanted to know, if there is something like standard usage of the derivation mentioned above. I also wanted to find out the frequency of using generic masculines. I have also tried to answer the question of possible common use of the latter type of masculines. The other goal was to determine whether there are some alternatives to generic masculines and if so, whether they are politically correct.
