Archivář a vysokoškolský učitel prof. PhDr. Zdeněk Kristen (1902-1967)vedle studií na FF UK v Praze byl i absolventem Státní archivní školy. V letech 1924-1930 jako stipendista Ministerstva školství a národní osvěty pobýval v Římě, kde studoval ve Vatikánských archivech. Po návratu pracoval v Archivu země České a od r. 1955 až do své smrti v r. 1967 učil pomocné vědy historické na Univerzitě Palackého v Olomouci.Archvist and teacher Zdenek Kristen (1902-1967) was a member of the generation of historians who formed history research forom the twenties to the sixties of the last centruy. Zdenek Kristen went to study the archvies in Rome and Vatican after graduation from the Charles University in Prague and the State School for Archivists. He returned to Prague after six years. In the end of the forties he came to the Palacky University in Olomouc where he taught supporting disciplines for historians until his death.
