Cílem této práce bylo zjistit subjektivní vnímání kvality života osob pečujících o člena s těžkým zdravotním postižením, zjistit situaci a vztahy uvnitř rodin těchto ?pečujících?, za jakou dobu dochází ke ztrátě pracovních kompetencí a možnosti návratu k původní profesi. Naměřené výsledky pak porovnat se získanými výsledky v zahraničí. V rámci výzkumu také ověřit metodiku vypracovanou odborníky VCIZP. Šetření probíhalo formou dotazníků v České republice (Karviná) a v Polsku (Wodzisław). V teoretické části čítající čtyři kapitoly se zaměřujeme na celkovou problematiku kvality života, zabýváme se rodinou obecně i v kontextu s těžce zdravotně postiženým členem, objasňujeme oblast zdravotního postižení a věnujeme se otázkám pomoci ze strany státu těmto rodinám, ale i samotným osobám s postižením. Praktickou část diplomové práce tvoří studie, kterou jsme provedli dotazníkovou metodou a metodou rozhovoru s respondenty dvou výzkumných souborů. V České republice zastoupené městem Karviná nám podalo informace celkem 55 dotazovaných , v Polsku, v městě Wodzisław, nám byly odevzdány dotazníky od 22 respondentů.The aim of this work was to find out the subjective perception of the life quality by persons taking care of one of its heavily handicapped member,to find out the situation and relationships inside those ?care taking families? and find , how long it takes before she,or he lose both working skill and possibility to come back to her or his former profession.The reached results were then compared with the result from abroad.Another target was to verify the method worked out by specialists from VCIZP. Inquiry was carried out by the questionnaires method in Czech Republic(Karviná) and in Poland (Wodzislaw). In the theoretical part, containing four chapters we focus on general problems of life quality, we deal with the family generally and also in context with its heavily handicapped member,we make clear the sphere of health insurance and pay attention to the issue of help from the state to these families and also to the lonely handicapped persons. The practical part of this diploma work is made up of the essay,which we carried out in the questionnaire and dialogues way with the respondents of two research files. In Czech Republic were represented by town Karviná,where we got information from 55 respondents, in Poland in Wodzislaw we received questionnaires from 22 respondents.
