Práce seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou a průběhem socioekonomické transformace ve Slovinsku po roce 1991 se zvláštním zaměřením na problematiku velkých významných podniků. Práce podrobně popisuje průběh privatizace a změny ve struktuře slovinského hospodářství během tohoto procesu. Pozornost je také mimo jiné věnována současné struktuře ekonomiky, významným odvětvím, investicím zahraničního kapitálu ve Slovinsku a zahraničnímu obchodu s ostatními evropskými státy, zejména s Českou republikou. Samostatnou kapitolou je pak role velkých podniků ve slovinské ekonomice, s ilustračním srovnání se situací v České republice. Jako modelový příklad velkého významného podniku bylo vybráno Gorenje. V práci je zpracována jeho případová studie zabývající se postavením společnosti na trhu; popsána byla také její vlastnická struktura .The work introduces the reader to the problems and the course of socio-economic transformation in Slovenia after 1991, with a special focus on issues of major enterprises. The work describes in detail the privatization process and structural changes in the Slovenian economy. Attention is also given to the current structure of the economy, major industries, foreign capital investments in Slovenia and foreign trade with the Czech Republic and other European countries. Separate chapter is the role of big and major enterprises in the Slovenian economy, with illustrative comparison with the situation in the Czech Republic. As a model example of a big major enterprise was chosen Gorenje. The case study describes its position of the market, there is also described ownership structure of Gorenje.
