Cílem práce Jan Vyhlídal a jeho rodná Haná je představit život a dílo vlasteneckého kněze, faráře a spisovatele Jana Vyhlídala. Předmětem autorčina zájmu je především Vyhlídalova činnost na území Hané, kde se zasloužil o zachování mnoha tradic, zvyků a zejména hanáckého dialektu. Práce postupně představuje Vyhlídalovu beletristickou tvorbu; na základě rozboru jednotlivých povídek vymezujeme hlavní znaky Vyhlídalovy beletrie. Kromě beletristické tvorby je v práci přiblížena i Vyhlídalova národopisná a pohádková činnost. V kapitolách věnovaných národopisným pracím Jana Vyhlídala si klademe za cíl potvrdit Vyhlídalův přínos k udržení hanáckého folkloru.The aim of the work entitled "Jan Vyhlídal and his native Haná region" is to introduce the life and work of a patriotic clergyman, pastor and writer Jan Vyhlídal. The main object of interest is Vyhlídal's activities in the Haná region, where he significantly contributed to preservation of many traditions, customs and, most importantly, of the Haná dialect. The work first introduces Vyhlídal's fictional work, where we try to determine the main characteristics of his fiction on the basis of analysis of individual narrative tales. In addition to the fictional work, we also examine Vyhlídal's ethnic and fabulous activities, with the aim to confirm Vyhlídal's contribution in preserving Haná's folklore.
