Předložená diplomová práce mapuje situaci muslimů v Británii. První část představuje teoretickou perspektivu, z níž práce vychází. V ústředním oddíle je na pozadí muslimské migrace do Británie analyzován socio-demografický a ?etnický? profil této kolektivity. Dále je optikou ústřední a okrajové skupiny interpretováno postavení muslimů v britské společnosti. Klíčový moment představuje konfrontace integračního modelu země s inkluzivními strategiemi muslimů. Spolu s posouzením jeho funkčnosti jsou vymezeny oblasti, kde mohou vznikat tenze.This work deals with situation of Muslims living in Great Brittany. First part represents theoretical perspective as base of the thesis. The main part is analysis of socio-demographic and ethnical profile of this group. Further, from the point of view of the core-group and out-group is analyzed status of Muslims in British society. Key part presents comparison of the British integration model and inclusive strategies of the Muslims. According to the functional analysis of the integration model, there are defined possible cases of areas of disagreement.
