Diplomová práce se zabývá životem a dílem Grahama Greenea a zejména jeho pojetím hrdiny. Práce obsahuje stručný životopis autora, společné rysy autorova života a díla, představy tragického hrdiny v pojetí Aristotela a Artura Millera a jejich porovnání s představou G. Greenea, rozbory hlavních rozporuplných postav v románech Moc a sláva, Jádro věci a Konec dobrodružství a srovnání jak těchto postav, tak i knih celkově.This diploma project deals with the life and work of Graham Greene and mainly with the Greene's concept of hero. The thesis contains a brief biography of Graham Greene, features that are common both for his private life and his novels, Aristotle's and Miller's ideas of the tragic hero and their comparison with the idea of Graham Greene.
