Since 1991, prior to Namibian Independence, the country had been experiencing a high inflow of migrants from rural area to urban cities. The major problem is with in the capital city Windhoek and other urban cities. The urban population is increasing beyond the town's capacity. Thus, in most cases had lead majority of the poor population to settle with in the informal settlement. Other issues that leading to these poor living conditions are such as lack of education, human capacity, incompetence with in the government to provide proper housing for its poor population. Nevertheless, in my master thesis I have paid attention to courses and problems that comes with this phenomena. At the same time, I have looked at current issues done to tackle this problem. Special attention is given to the capital city, Windhoek.
