Bakalářská práce je věnována novému nelékařskému zdravotnickému povolání, povolání zdravotnického asistenta. Jejím cílem je nastínění koncepce oboru, kompetencí k výkonu povolání, uplatnění absolventů v praxi, implementace do ošetřovatelského týmu a možností dalšího vzdělávání žáků tohoto studijního oboru. Hlavním cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit informovanost všeobecných sester v praxi a studentů SZŠ o novém zdravotnickém profesionálovi - zdravotnickém asistentovi. V neposlední řadě nás zajímala znalost legislativy vztahující se k dané problematice. A target of this thesis is to outline a branch conception, a competence for an exercise of profession, an use of graduates in practice, an implementation in nursing staff and possibilities of other student education concerning this field of study. A main target of the research was to learn how the nurses and students of the Higher Nursing School are informed about a new medical profession - medical assistant. In conclusion, we were interested in the knowledge of this legislation relevant to this problem. An analysis and interpretation of the obtained data offer us an information on knowledge level by nurses, and by students too.
