Tato práce je věnována sociálním aspektům globalizace. Zkoumá původ a rozvoj tohoto fenoménu, jeho politické, kulturní a sociální dopady. Z mnoha společenských důsledků globalizace se omezuje na neotřelou problematiku časoprostorové komprese a individualizace. Kvintesencí celého textu je předpoklad, že základní charakteristika současné společnosti spočívá v ambivalenci jevů i jejich interpretací. Na konkrétních příkladech konsekvencí globalizačních procesů chce ukázat rozporuplný ráz životních podmínek, jež formují situaci moderního člověka.These papers are dedicated to the social aspects of globalization. They examine the origin and course of this phenomenon, its political, cultural and social impacts. It reduces many social globalization outcomes to the interesting problems of the time-space compression and the individualization. The quintessence of the entire text forms an assumption that ambivalence of many events and their interpretations is the basic characteristic of the contemporary society. With concrete examples this work wants to demonstrate the contradictory nature of living conditions, which influence the situation of modern human beings.
