Většina ekologických stran vznikla přeměnou z hnutí, která byla zaměřena na nějaký problém z oblasti životního prostředí. Ve své práci se zaměřím na českou Stranu zelených. Uvedu zde však i vznik a vývoj německých Zelených, protože měli velký vliv na českou SZ a na jejich formování je možné dobře vidět přerod hnutí v etablovanou politickou stranu. Cílem této práce je nejen ukázat složitou cestu českých Zelených v parlamentní politickou stranu, jejich postavení v rámci evropských zelených stran, ale především vztah mezi "zelenou`` ideologii, jejich možnostmi uvést ji v praxi a možný vliv těchto "zelených`` idejí. Docházím ve své práci k závěru, že Strana zelených má na české politické scéně omezené možnosti prosazovat své programové cíle, ale i tak se jí daří některé z nich postupně naplňovat, ovšem její případný vliv na českou společnost budeme moci posoudit vzhledem ke krátké době působení ve vládě až za několik let.Most ecological parties have developed from movements which had focused on any of the plenty of enviromental problems. In my work I am targeting the Czech Green party. However, I am also mentioning the establishment and development of the German Greens, because they had inluenced the Czech GP significantly and also as we can see good their transformation into an established political party.It is my aim to show the Czech Green party´s difficult way to the parlament, their position among other european ecological parties and primarly the interaction between their ``green`` ideology an their possibilities to put it in practice. I am coming to the conclusion that the Green party has only a very limited chance to put their political views through on the Czech political scene,though they are managing to fulfill some of them gradually.With respect to the short time of their appereance in the goverment we will be able to judge the party´s possible influence on the Czech society just in a few years time.
