Diplomová práce se zabývá adaptačními projevy dětí předškolního věku při nástupu do mateřské školy. Teoretická část obsahuje kapitoly, které vymezují pojmy a přístupy. Pojednává o dětech předškolního věku, jejich charakteristikách, adaptačních projevech psychického i fyzického charakteru a adaptačních procesech. V rámci výzkumné části, která je rozdělena do dvou částí, bylo cílem zjistit intenzitu, častost a změny adaptačních projevů v období prvních čtyř týdnů po nástupu do mateřské školy a sledovat rozdíly mezi chlapci a dívkami. Závěr je věnován doporučením pro praxi.The diploma project deals with the manifestations of the nursery school children´s adaption on starting the nursery school. The theoretical part includes the chapters defining terms and approaches. This part is oriented to the children of the pre-school age, to their characteristics, the manifestations of the adaption of the psychic and physical character and the processes of adaption. The research section, divided into two chapters, is aimed at finding out the intensity, frequency and changes in manifestations of adaption during the first four weeks after entering the nursery school and observes the differences between boys and girls. The conclusion presents some recommendation for practice.
