Diplomová práce se zabývá výukou k lidským a dětským právům v hodinách anglického jazyka. To sleduje za cíl nejenom zvýšení povědomí o této problematice mezi žáky, ale také skrz tuto tematiku je možné jazyk vyučovat. Diplomová práce obsahuje teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením pojmu lidských a dětských práv, jejich vývojem, výchovou k lidským právům, porušováním dětských práv. V praktické části jsou navrženy tři ukázkové příklady, jak je možné toto téma do hodin angličtiny zařadit. Zároveň jsou zde prezentovány výsledky dotazníkového zjištění povědomí žáků a učitelů o této problematice na vybraných základních školách v Olomouci.The diploma thesis concentrates on the implementation of human and children's rights education in the English language teaching. This follows the aim of raising awareness of this issue among pupils and secondly this topic serves also as a material to teaching English. The diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes human and children's rights issues (what are human and children's rights, development of these rights, the basic human rights documents, violations of children's rights, human rights education). In the practical part there are three sample lesson plans on human and children's rights education. In this part there are also presented results from the research that was conducted with the aim to find out what the awareness of human and children's rights is among pupils and teachers of English at the selected lower secondary schools in Olomouc.
