Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá bojovými uměními a jejich učiteli. V dnešní společnosti zažíváme jakýsi boom v popularitě bojových uměních a mnoho lidí může zajímat, do jaké míry mají skutečný vliv na lidskou psychiku a fyzické zdraví. Výzkumná část práce je zaměřena na průzkum širších souvislostí v bojových uměních a zvláště se zaměřuje na učitele. U nich je sledována motivace a z osobnostních rysů zvláště impulzivita a agresivita. Výzkum je orientován na kvalitativní metodologii a obsahuje analýzu semistrukturovaného interwiev, které je podpořeno sebereflexí a psychodiagnostickými metodami.The thesis explores martial arts focusing especially on their instructors' characteristics. What we experience in our contemporary society is rapid development martial arts. Hence, questions arise: Do martial arts have any positive effects upon human psyché? Do they contribute to physical health? Empirical part of this work is focused on the exploration of wider context with regard to martial arts, especially their instructors. With instructors, motivation and - of character traits predominantly - impulsiveness together with aggressivity count among important observed criteria. This research benefits from qualitative method of assessing collected data. The data were collected using semi-structured interviews and were supported by the author`s self-reflection and psychodiagnostical methods.
