Tato diplomová práce se zabývá osobností Přemysla Pittra a jeho přínosem pro sociální pedagogiku. Zjišťuje a popisuje jeho životní cestu a osudové okolnosti, které jej přivedly k rozhodnutí zasvětit celý svůj život těm nejpotřebnějším. Seznámí nás nejen s jeho spolupracovníky, ale i s výchovnými metodami, které byly při výchově jemu svěřených dětí velmi účinné a mohou být inspirativní i pro současné pedagogy a vychovatele. Dále má práce poukazuje na nedoceněnost tohoto sociálního pedagoga a malou obeznámenost české veřejnosti s tak významnou osobností, jakou bezesporu Přemysl Pitter byl.This diploma work deals with the personality of Přemysl Pitter and his contribution on the social pedagogy's behalf. The diploma work determinates and describes his life way and fated circumstances, which brought him to the decision to dedicate his life to the most disgraceful ones. The work not only familirizes us with his cooperators but also with educational methods, which were effective by the upbringing of to him intrusted children. In addition the methods may be inspirational for current pedagogues and tutors. Furthermore the work points out that this social pedagogue was underestimated by the czech public and not enough familiarized with it, especially bearing in mind the significant personality, whom Přemysl Pitter - without any question was.
